Cabinets--Custom by GC's cab guy--Alder with a natural stain--still need to add some fancy pullouts. No blumotion but full extension drawers. Wish I would have gotten more drawers.

Medallion--Found at Local Hobby Lobby $12.50 and installed myself.
Granite Supports--Hobby Lobby $2.50 each.

I'm teetering about Alder for cabinets in my new kitchen. I've heard good and bad about how soft it is. I've heard you can stick your fingenail in it soft and I've heard that they make artificial limbs out of alder, so I don't know what to do! I love it stained dark. Any problems yet with it being soft?
